Featuring a special guest appearance by multiple Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer live on stage here in Dubai, Global Waltzing - From Johann Strauss to Hans Zimmer is an extraordinary amalgamation of compelling melodies, enchanting arrangements, and the timeless appeal of Johann Strauss's and Hans Zimmer’s music.

About Aleksey Igudesman:
Aleksey Igudesman is known as a violinist, but has also established himself as a composer, conductor, actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. He refuses to be categorised, promoting creativity and freedom of thought all around the globe.
His concert programs and live shows are always full of creativity, involving humour and virtuosity at the highest level. Stylistically, Igudesman loves breaking borders, often collaborating with great musicians, artists, dancers, and actors from around the world. One of his specialities is creating tailor-made programs for orchestras, concert halls and festivals.
Aleksey Igudesman plays on a Santo Seraphin violin from the year 1717, which is kindly loaned to him by ERSTE BANK. His strings of choice are by Thomastik-Infeld. Igudesman‘s greatest passion is writing music. His compositions are published by Universal Edition and have been performed worldwide by soloists, ensembles, and orchestras, such as the New York Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, often with his participation as a solo violinist and/or conductor.
Igudesman has written for and performed as a soloist on numerous film soundtracks. He has worked particularly closely with Academy Award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer on numerous films, including “Sherlock Holmes” which received an Oscar nomination for “Best Original Score.” Igudesman’s compositions and commissions include a whole evening of music for the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, a piece for two violins and orchestra for Vadim Repin and Clara-Jumi Kang, and a work for violin solo and 100 violinists for Daniel Hope, as well as multiple publications on Universal Edition. In recent years, Igudesman composed the soundtrack to multiple documentaries, as well as numerous pieces for chamber ensembles and orchestras.

Aleksey Igudesman, known for his brilliant arrangements, has already showcased his talent by adapting the famous „Wiener Blut“ waltz for acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer in the movie „Sherlock Holmes 2.“ In his riveting “Sherlock Holmes Fantasy”, the waltz delicately dances through the scene, evolving into a Celtic Jig. Furthermore, the program features Hans Zimmer‘ s mesmerizing „Blue Danube“ variations in the hauntingly beautiful „Valse Tartare - Heated Up.“ „Global Waltzing – from Johann Strauss to Hans Zimmer“ is an extraordinary amalgamation of compelling melodies, enchanting arrangements, and the timeless appeal of Johann Strauss‘s and Hans Zimmer’s music. At Dubai Opera, The Limitless Orchestra will be performing for the first time of its creation by Aleksey Igudesman.
Dubai Opera is the ideal venue to celebrate elegance and style. Kindly avoid overly casual or provocative attire, such as shorts or flip flops, to uphold our venue standards. Guests not complying with the dress code will not be permitted entry.

This ticket must be produced to gain entry into an event.
Removing any part of, altering or defacing the ticket may invalidate it.
This ticket must not, without the prior written consent of Dubai Opera, be resold or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes, if not the ticket will be cancelled immediately.
This ticket is only valid for the specific date, time and event shown.
Dubai Opera does not offer refunds or exchanges as a result of a change in your personal circumstances. Dubai Opera at its sole discretion may only refund or exchange a ticket if an event is cancelled or rescheduled and you cannot attend the rescheduled event. This includes, but is not limited to, any circumstances related to Covid-19 which might prevent you from attending.
Dubai Opera can only replace lost, stolen or damaged tickets if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified, including proof of purchase, subject to replacement fee.

Patrons arriving late to a performance will only be admitted into the auditorium at a suitable pause or intermission. Latecomers may be seated in alternative seat locations if available to avoid disruption of the performance.
The use of mobile phones, camera and other electronic devised inside the auditorium are prohibited. Exceptions may occur depending on the type of event.
The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger incidental to the event whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual event, including any death, personal injury, loss, damage or liability.
Food & Beverage purchased outside Dubai Opera are not permitted. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited inside the auditorium. This applies before the show, during the show and during the intermission. Exceptions may occur depending on the type of event.
