SAMIT Event Group is proud to present a classical music concert organised as part of the acclaimed monthly ‘VIP Classical – Cultural Music Circle’ series. Taking place at Dubai Opera Studio, the event shall feature the exceptional talents of US clarinettist Boris Allakhverdyan, the Principal Clarinet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, as well as award-winning US pianist Alin Melik-Adamyan, for an evening of classical music brilliance!

Praised for his “energetic, vibrant solos”, Allakhverdyan is the Grand Prize and the Gold Medal winner of the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, and has served as Principal Clarinet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 2016. Having worked with many of the biggest orchestras of our time, he is also the founding clarinettest of the Prima Trio, and has seen major international success at multiple international competitions. Allakhverdyan has given masterclasses across the globe, and currently serves on the faculty at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music as well as at California State University, while also sitting on the juries of many major contests around the world.

Melik-Adamyan, meanwhile, who shall be joining him on stage, is similarly acclaimed, being widely lauded for a “sensitivity unique in the piano world”, and taking top prizes at the YMF/ASCAP Leiber & Stoller Scholarship, and Los Angeles Liszt International Competition, amongst others. She has performed with orchestras across the globe, and has also found success with cellist Coleman Itzkoff as the Amicus Duo. Holding the role of Music Director with the American Contemporary Ballet, Melik-Adamyan’s work as a collaborative pianist has taken her to the finest stages of America, becoming highly sought-after for recitals, masterclasses, and private studios.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness the inimitable performance of these young talents live in Dubai, where they will showcase a handpicked repertoire that highlights their impressive range and virtuosic abilities, while celebrating the very best of classical music!
